Disappointing
Listened to the Matthew Coleman episode and was very disappointed. It left out so much critical information, such as how Matt killed his kids due to his belief in QAnon conspiracy theories. Tony was also very dismissive of mental illness, saying it didn’t matter. I agree it doesn’t matter in regards to his punishment. There is no excuse for what he did and he should spend his life in jail. However, Tony took it further, saying who cares what mental illness he had? Well, if we want to prevent these things from happening, we need to care. It’s important to know his delusional thoughts in order to identify signs of mental illness. By better understanding the mental illness that led to this, we can proactively identify and treat people. We need to analyze the dangers of extreme conspiracy groups putting out info such as claiming there’s a race of half human/half reptiles taking over the country. Tony just says, who cares, stop talking about it, throw him in jail and let the jail “eco system” take care of him. That attitude does nothing to help further out understanding of mental illness and nothing to further better treatment & understanding of mental health in our society. It also doesn’t address the major societal issues involved in this tragedy. The episode was pretty crass and did not seem to properly honor those two precious children and their brief lives. I won’t listen again and do not recommend

These guys put a fun twist on podcasts. I love the stories, audience interactions don’t and the banter in between. Thank you guys for putting another great quality show out.

Quality podcast, sound, and voices, but I like more storytelling, and less chatting, but that's just me. Creepy to think the stories are true.Read full review »
