“Just another religious dogmatist using scripture to color his interpretation of history and evolution. Imagine being this educated and clear-thinking regarding the lack of originality and inspiration in the authoring and collation of biblical texts, and still harboring resolute religious faith. He can observe more definitively than most that it’s all dogma with nothing sound behind it. It’s supernatural nonsense used by the church to oppress and control commoners. He nitpicks the interpretations of the stories, but still clings to the mythology as essential fact, because his faith demands it, though all rationale would demand that he reject it. He’s not a critical thinker; he’s only a pedant. I can’t respect a mind like his.”
