Wonderful: the Bible - everything you always wanted to know and didn’t dare ask.
I am so glad Dan McClellan is now available on podcast. I’ve seen him on Twitter and TikTok and I love his short clips. This podcast offers a longer more comprehensive version of his work. I know he does long YouTube videos but I don’t have time to watch those, whereas this podcast format is perfect for listening to when I’m out and about, taking a walk, or on my commute to work. I’m hoping these will be weekly from now on. As for the actual content, Dan, and his cohost (also) Dan, present biblical scholarship without ideology or religious dogma, they just look at what the Bible actually says, the historical contexts of the writing, who might have written it, what might have been their motivation and so on. You do not need to be religious to enjoy this podcast. Equally, you do not need to be anti religious to listen to it. Dan presents to us scholarly academic knowledge and research FOR FREE! Which is amazing. Thank you Dan. Having studied for his PhD with the wonderful Professor, Francesca Stavrakopoulou he has kindly decided to share with us, lay people, in simple and accessible language his knowledge and expertise. I recommend this podcast highly to answer your questions about the Bible - everything you always wanted to know and didn’t dare ask.
