Interesting and scholarly
I took 4 years of Biblical instruction in undergrad. Then I started teaching Humanities at a college level and realized most of what I had been taught in Bible college was a lie, cherry-picking or negotiation with the academic information. So I love this podcast. I love hearing the contradictions and scholarship behind the Bible. If Christians were taught to be less fragile in their faith, they could learn about textual criticism and see that this makes Jesus as a historical figure more not less interesting.

This is the podcast I’ve been waiting for. I’m an atheist who was raised Catholic. I’ve been obsessed with religion ever since I left and I really appreciate this academic approach to the Bible. Big thanks to Scathing Atheist for turning me on to you folks.

Amazing podcast that adds scholarly understanding and context to a variety of “sacred text”. The great swaths of our populations follow, despite having little understanding of their dominion.
