“What a treat to listen to you both talk about this subject. I knew that they were there, but haven’t read/heard much about them. This episode really helped me to make a strong connection to my grandson. Since he was about 1.5 his favorite thing was to build caves and hide and play in them. I was worried that if folks heard us talking about his love for caves - they’d think we were abusing him - but it was such a strong “habit” for him, we encouraged his playing in caves. Then there was a period where only gramma was invited to play in the cave. SO you can image the joy I had when I ran his chart - of course his environment was CAVES and our connection makes him feel safe”
