Outstanding Imagination Fodder
To hear writers discuss their process in great detail, followed by a collaborative read of a TV episode that never aired, is a moving experience that I never anticipated. There is something richly satisfying about hearing how the sausage of TV writing is made - the professionalism, the language, the way these creative people carom off each other in a bluntly inhospitable industry. The table reads themselves are well-executed and lend themselves well to the podcast format. I can’t help but imagine what the 2nd and 3rd episodes of each story would have been. I’m glad there will be more episodes of this one. There will be, right? One crit: Production value could be higher; some reverb and wide dynamic range are noticeable but not an obstacle to the enjoyment. I hope that future episodes will be tighter here.
