Keep it about the victim
This is a fascinating story and I’m hanging on to each episode to find out if there are any developments… but as a fellow journalist, I have to point out that the male podcaster is doing a great job sticking to the story and the facts, but the female podcaster should stop interjecting herself into the story. Some of the comments that she makes are awkward and others down right offensive. On the last episode she talks about going through this with the victim’s family in some sort of “Stockholm syndrome” way (her words!!!!!). No, this alleged murder (or just tragic death) didn’t happen to you. This person is not your family member. In fact, as you point out time and time again (in your endless ramblings about “your journey to Buffalo”. No one cares.) you aren’t even part of this community. Honestly, I would be really offended by a lot of your comments if I were. You also make a comment in this episode when the Bishop isn’t in “sorry to interrupt your sex-capades”. Ummmm news flash, abusing children isn’t a “sex-capade”. Please stick to script or leave the storytelling to the guy.

Double whammy of Rochester and Catholic priests being corrupt - what a shock. May God have mercy on their souls.

The story is interesting but the narrative meanders and jumps around. Ep. 6 should have a content warning regarding the discussion surrounding the autopsy. There is too much laughter and joking while talking about a very beloved deceased member of the community. CW here…. Talking about cutting a...Read full review »
