Religion is harmful
I wanted to listen to this to find the story of what Alana went through. There are so many of us who dived head first into religion thinking it was a savior for the weird outcast who no one understands only to come out the other side severely shamed and damaged. It is hard and triggering listening to the way the host speaks about a religion “he still loves” in a voice barely above a whisper. I found myself having to stomach a lot of discomfort to get to hear this girls heartbreaking story that I very much relate to. I would have preferred a podcast about Alana’s story and how so many youth get caught up in the cult of religion instead of the host comparing himself to her. Just focus on her. It’s a sad story. I think many of us see ourselves in Alana. Depths of love to her mom and family left without her.

Heartbreaking, haunting, infuriating - yet beautiful to hear the unconditional love and support of friends and family...Read full review »
