“Just over a year ago, I checked myself into a treatment facility for depression and anxiety. Two weeks after being home, COVID hit. I am a high school math teacher, and the remote learning began. At this same time, my roommate and best friend was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that had spread to her lungs, brain, bones and liver. She left for Chicago on June 4th, to get treatment at Northwestern and be with her parents. In October of 2020, she passed away. I say all of this because one of the greatest gifts she gave me was Gabby. She introduced me to her and all last summer, I listened to all of the Dear Gabby’s and any and all podcasts that I could find that Gabby was on. Not only did Gabby help me to strengthen my faith, but her soothing, genuine and authentic approach to all she encountered always made me feel a little safer while listening to her and for sure, less alone. I have a long way to go on my healing journey, but beyond grateful that I have Gabby as a guide and what feels like a friend, even if from a distance. This podcast is such a unique approach, where Gabby is able to share her gifts with so many in such a real way. No matter where you are in your story and journey, this safe, non judgmental space and podcast offers something special for everyone. Thank Gabby.....for everything! Sending you all the best as your podcast launches......you deserve it! 🦋💕🙏🏻”
