Exceptional
Alyson I wait in rapt anticipation for your coming episodes. Your strength in getting this story out has been phenomenal, the way you were screwed in the final hour of your previous attempt to get YOUR story made speaks volumes to the issues the industry faces with grown adults, so can we even imagine how children fare? You ask what our headspace is coming into this and while the glamour of hollywood looks alluring even outsiders from kansas know there is something deeply wrong with how child stars are treated. When capitalism is at play isn’t there always a sinister underbelly? But we all sit on our hands, unsure which problem facing the world to even tackle. Of course it’s a vicious cycle too as it only makes sense that most who are put through the trauma machine of hollywood as a child are too traumatized to have the tools to turn around and work to fix what was done to them, that sounds like almost an impossible task- so the fact you are not only squaring up to take on the darkness but have the strength to turn on a bright light to expose and then make a plan to protect those who come after you, words cannot express how much I applaud you. This is not just a podcast, this is a social movement. God speed to you I will go on this journey with you and am here to be a force of good to aid in your fight to protect the next generations. We can all do this together.

I like that this very important topic is being covered. However I am cringing at the use of terms like “care giver” and “guardians”. It sounds unnatural. Just speak normally and say parents. I can hear the hesitation in her voice when using these terms. If it came naturally to her that would be...Read full review »
