A little spoonful of compassion
I adored the Sugars in print. The podcast is lovely, but is a different animal. Wonderful compassion and tough love as well as humor and sadness. Cheryl is magnificent. Steve tends to talk over her or take the reigns on each question, but his empathy and kindness make up for it. The music choices are spot-on. My biggest complaint is that I wish the podcasts were longer or more frequent.

I've read the Dear Sugar advice column, and some of it is pretty good.. I dislike this podcast, however. Maybe the hosts should stick with writing. I thought the book was amazing, WE thought the book was amazing (we being my Book Club) and ever since then have just assumed that Cheryl is one of our closest friends who just always is busy on book club night. Now we get to HEAR all about her and Sugar #2 - so glad to have her back!
