Still finding its feet?
I loved Tiny Beautiful Things, and part of what I loved about it was how the raw and ragged parts of Cheryl Strayed’s life came through in her writing. The problem I have with the podcast is that it doesn’t seem to have that same depth of feeling and, at the same time, the rawness that I loved in the book. I felt like advice in the book came from an acknowledgement of her own brokenness, but the podcast feels like it’s hosted by people who kind of sort of feel like they’ve arrived. I’m not sure what the answer is, and I want more of what I got from Tiny Little Things, but I haven’t gotten it from the show, yet.
