The narrator contradicts the very importance of the wife’s art by the end of the first episode. The pioneer female artists of earlier movements Fluxus, dada & on were the actual groundbreaking mavericks in what is art. Social climbing is an art too but doesn’t have a legacy.

I don’t think it can be said that Mendieta or Andre is treated with respect here. If one assumes the latter is guilty, then I suppose respect is unwarranted.
