Why don’t we get taught this
I first came across Ana Mendieta in my early 20s and I was so inspired by her work. However, I didn’t know the circumstances around her death or that her husband has been suspected of murdering her. That makes me angry! I think when the podcast explores on whether we can separate the art from the artist, the issue for me is that he is alive and justice is still waiting - the trial was clearly corrupted, racist & most importantly had scared rats in the art world protecting him and their careers with silence. For this reason his art should not be separated from his actions. Good podcast on this issue and the art world in general.

I think they do. Carl is described as a genius yet all these years later he is still creating the same...Read full review »
