This is the classical music podcast that the world needs.
Having gone through years of typical music history classes in undergrad, this is how western music history should be taught. I was learning new things the whole time I was listening! So poignently written, the first episode brought me to tears. It was the only time I have ever heard a teacher say that a woman was not just a footnote in the history books, but one of the great composers. Finally! This podcast pulls back the veneer of the whitewashed male dominated western cannon and brings out the real stories of classical music. As a music teacher, I’m going to be incorporating this into all of my classes whenever possible. These are the classical history lessons we need right now. Aa a violist, my favorite composer is Rebecca Clark. It would be amazing if you could find time to make an episode of her! Thank you so much!

More reviews of Decomposed with Jade Simmons
I wish my days away waiting for each installment! I love the stories because they make the music seem more accessible to the casual listener. I also love Jade Simmons- her enthusiasm and voice make the stories come to life. I typically don’t write reviews, but I had to for Decomposed!
