“you (ms lopez) are an interesting conversationalist who is clearly engaged on many levels from the deeply personal to the collective/political etc. i really hated listening to this guy talk
over you and not expand on your ideas
but sort of glop onto your responses with some long winded thing that would bury me in sand. away from your conversation. there were so many times i couldn’t understand a topic you were breaking down because he talked over you. i know a male interviewer who did this to his VERY interesting female guest once(probably not once😆) i of course wrote and said i didn’t like it.
listening and speaking manners go missing in this long form podcast sphere which leaves the listener totally unclear where we are and what’s being said. building on ideas and allowing people to speak is just old fashioned courtesy.
