“I have been intending to leave this podcast a review for a long time, and now seems like the perfect opportunity.
Many thanks for the work you three (Andy, George and Binnan) have put into this podcast over many years. The match reviews are thorough, detailed and have given me a new perspective on football. Brilliant work!
From a personal perspective, this weekend seems a good time to write the review. For many years I have lived in the Geelong region, and their team has put us to the sword frequently. There have been notable exceptions, especially 2021.
Living and working in the Geelong area it’s hard to avoid Taxpayer stadium and their annoying supporters (most of whom are surprisingly nice people outside Kardinia Park). Even from 20km outside town, a glimpse of the horrible stadium light towers is enough to trigger me. I will only attend that ground if bound and gagged. In fact, I believe I may be suffering from a medical condition KPE. Kardinia Park Encephalopathy.
On the advice of medical professionals, I have got out of dodge and moved to northern Italy. The severe rashes, anxiety and uncontrollable twitching necessitated a European reboot this season.
To my delight the Demons triumphed this weekend. It could only have been better if the margin was even narrower and the game was played at Kardinia Park.
