“I have listened to hundreds of old radio series and podcasts in my time- and most of them go down easy and are as forgettable as a fast food burger. This one is just something ELSE. I lived in JT so it has particular resonance, but I promise it doesn’t matter. I have literally cried and laughed while listening to this one. “High Desert Death” in which he states, “what a nightmare world. What a nightmare. I’d sure like to wake up from it. I’d sure like to get some rest and wake up - without the dread”….christ that got me. He comments on the larger dystopian America we now live in in a way that all can relate to and will wrench your guts out. Then the f*&ker will say something hilarious and you nearly can’t keep track. This guy is a genius. We need Desert Oracle tshirts up in here. Wanna banner my car, Ken? You freaking rule. Please don’t stop.”

“I love the episodes that discuss the desert, the solitude, nature, and the weirdness we find in the high desert. Not so into the Jeremy Corbell hoaky wannabe alien weirdos. I like the alien talk a little, but it can get to be too much. I often listen to this podcast while staring at my Joshua trees.”
