Instant Cult Classic for Fans of Twin Peaks, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and Midnight Diner
I love Desert Skies. The Desert Skies idea is cozy, crazy, hilarious, and thought-provoking. The Attendant and the Mechanic are relatable characters trying to figure out the meaning of death. In a way, they are stuck there and totally lost (they don’t remember who they were before death), but they are also helpful guides to the recently deceased, guiding them onto the next stage after death. There are many podcasts out there now and it’s hard to find the right one. I cannot recommend Desert Skies enough. I laugh out loud while I listen. I’m drawn in every time by the coziness. And I’m still thinking about the ideas in each episode days after.
