Steve ‘Tufty’ Carver - Desperately Seeking Paul
From Steve’s descriptions of those early Jam days, I could feel the excitement. I remember how it felt just going to a gig, getting the tickets, the organising of the transport (usually fell to my brother who was 4 years older), meeting in the local pub beforehand and then the trip to wherever they were playing …Cardiff, Bristol, Swansea, London, Guildford…. so what it must have been like being an integral part of the Weller machine I can only imagine. ‘The Jam were MY band’ 😍 ….. how many times have I said that, have we said that as die hard fans? ……well I think I’ll concede this to you Steve on this occasion. Great raconteur and bloody great listen 👏 🤩 👏

More reviews of Desperately Seeking Paul
If you’re a fan of Paul Weller this is a must listen. Dan does in-depth research and really gets the best and most amazing stories from his guests. I love the way one of his obscure facts about a guest sends the conversation down a completely different path fairly often. Love it.
