Description
Tulum Forest in Mexico is an ancient woodland filled with flooded caves and cenotes (natural sinkholes) where the Maya once performed sacrificial rituals. Local legend holds that supernatural guardians called Aluxes still protect these sacred grounds, appearing as child-sized spirits that are known to lure unwary visitors off marked paths, leading to numerous unexplained disappearances.
