As an avid true crime listener the first thing I noticed was the tone of this show. It lacks reverence and compassion. The person telling the story seems more interested in the drama of the story rather than in the individual who was murdered. I don’t like that. He also takes a lot of liberties when talking about members of the community. He talks about people as if they are just part of “his” podcast and not actual people. It’s disheartening. You can tell true crime stories with reverence, compassion and nuance. Karen and Georgia taught me that.
