who let this happen?
I’ve listened to my fair share of true crime content over the past 8 or so years and this is….one of the worst I’ve experienced. I genuinely don’t understand how this got backing? Or sponsors? Or huge ads? It feels like a money grab from two people who think they’re edgy because they watch true crime documentaries on Netflix - newsflash, most people do these days. It’s a shame that clearly no market research has been done - true crime fans can spot poor research and a lack of real understanding a mile away. There was no way this was going to resonate with any true crime fan - that should have been obvious. The market is already so saturated I’m not sure what ‘new’ or ‘fresh’ take they thought they could provide but so far it’s below average at best. What credentials do these people have? They’re not even coming across as likeable. Don’t even get me started on the ‘comedy’… I saw a poster fro this on the tube and was genuinely looking forward to trying it out but I was bitterly disappointed. The poster seems to have been the only good bit about this podcast. If you think this is good I urge you to do some proper research. It never ceases to amaze me that there are so many talented true crime content creators with incredible depths of research and knowledge that go unnoticed, while people like this get so much handed to them. Shameful.

This is just bad. Inappropriate giggling and minimal research make for a very unpleasant listening experience. Hard to see why they've bothered in an over saturated market when neither Helen nor Dani seem to have any fresh ideas or information to offer listeners. Avoid like the plague.Read full review »

Very insensitive, please don’t laugh along at crime victims.

I listened to the Joanna Dennehy episode. The chemistry between the two presenters and their reactions made the case for me more relatable and accessible - able to process the horrendous events rather than being overwhelmed by them. Definitely willing to give more episodes a try.
