Tone deaf
Presenters - please read the reviews. The 5 star reviews seem like they’re from the presenters’ friends&fam. Completely agree with my fellow 1 Star reviewers. Two ill-prepped girls (evidently not journalists) talking about horrible murders (which have happened within the last century) as if it’s top tier banter. A LOT of archive audio is used which are the only interesting bits, spoken in a serious tone by actual professionals - which they obviously couldn’t get on the show. Very easy to see why. “Awww poor Ed” - says one of the presenters when they mention his very abusive mother passed away when discussing the murderer’s background. “Hahahahahaha a box of vaginas!! Eww!! Why Ed?!?!? Hahahhaha” - a whole 30 seconds of both presenters cracking up about one of the most hideous discoveries made by police in US crime history. Cheap. Very cheap. Absolutely tone deaf. …and that’s only half an hour of the first ep. Where was the producer for this? How was this commissioned? Poorly produced.

I’ve just listened to the first two episodes of this podcast one after the other, and I thought they were both excellent, keep up the good work!

Aside from the podcast being poorly constructed and really irritating, the descriptions of mental illness are factually wrong and horribly stigmatising. Don’t waste your time.
