No breathing allowed
The host made, and stated out loud, the poor choice of excessively editing any dead air or spoken pauses of the podcast guests. The same treatment seems to not have been applied to the host. Despite a short list of impressive guests taking long form interviews, the net effect is an exhausting, breathless, and unnatural listening experience. It is maddening considering the potential promise of the content. But it is hard to take more than a few moments of the host’s interruptions or the guest’s’ exhausting artificial manner of speech. I’d much rather listen to an unedited interview. Even a sped up listen to other long form interviews is far better.
