Listen now
Description
Remember the messaging for kids to drink milk with each meal to grow big and strong bones? Up to 90% of peak bone mass is achieved by the age of 18 in girls and 20 in boys, making it a critical period for bone development. Strong bones built during this time provide a foundation for lifelong skeletal health, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures later in life. Today we will be talking all about foods and nutrients needed for healthy bones along with ways to incorporate these foods into your family’s meals.
