“Pros: Great sound quality, hosts with good chemistry who are both passionate about Disneyland.
Cons: I cannot for the life of me understand why they insist on reading feedback every.single.week. I listen to dozens of podcasts and not one reads their feedback on their podcasts. It’s super weird, seems like an ego boost, and frankly I don’t want to hear you read compliments about yourself for 10+ minutes. Please stop reading your feedback on the podcast episodes.
It’s very apparent the hosts haven’t been to the parks in a verrrryyyy long time. I get it, I don’t live near Anaheim so I can’t go as often as I’d like either. But that also doesn’t make for good podcast context when a good third of the episode is the hosts discussing his they haven’t tried this or been on that attraction.
The hosts frequently rely on third party sources for their news and I don’t know why they don’t use Disney itself for news. This podcast is a frequent shout out to other media pages, so I just go to them instead. This has also led to wrong information being provided (the opening date of Pixar Pier) being provided on the podcast. If the hosts had relied on actual Disney news they wouldn’t have provided their listeners with wrong information.
The podcast has a patreon page, like many other podcasts do. Something that really irked me was when Tage said they were planning/hoping to have the income from patreon pay for the hosts to visit Disneyland. They actually said that on the podcast. So these hosts are hoping that you’ll dish out money each month so they can go to Disneyland. No thanks, I’ll save my money and pay for my own trip to Disneyland.
I want to like the show, I really do. The tour of the parks episodes were fun. But there’s some really big changes that need to be implemented if I’m going to continue listening. I hope the hosts learn from the constructive feedback they’re provided with to make the show great.”
