It’s the episode that Steffi has been waiting for since Girl Group Divas summer.
Hold on to your knickers, girls.
Get ready for our Spice Girls takeover on Diva Dailies! Once again, Angie (@poetrysoul3) and Steffi (@inn_mho) are hopping in a time machine to 1997 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Spice Girls’ sophomore album “Spiceworld” (1997).
As we do in all of our Diva Discography episodes, part 1 is an in-depth review and discussion on EVERY SINGLE TRACK of the album. We then end our conversation sharing our Top 3 favorite songs from the album, 1 song we’d cut, and the underrated gem.
Make sure you tune in next week for parts 2 & 3 when we talk about the Spice Girls’ Spiceworld era.
Album Info: Spiceworld is the second studio album by English girl group the Spice Girls, released on 1 November 1997 by Virgin Records. Its music incorporates dance-pop music and production. The album became a commercial success worldwide, lengthening the so-called "Spicemania" of the time. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, with first-week sales of 190,000 copies and shipped 1.4 million copies in two weeks. The album also reached number one in 13 countries, while peaking inside the top three in Australia, Canada, France, Switzerland and the United States. Spiceworld has sold over 14 million copies worldwide, making it one of the world's best-selling albums by a girl group.
