Wanted to like this, but...
Um, no. I wanted to like this but literally cringed after listening to 15 minutes of the first episode. Hearing the guest talk about her white privilege while saying she couldn’t relate to forums or resources for divorced moms, because they were too targeted to “poorer” divorced women was just too much for me. There were so many hints of elitism and otherism described in this episode. Also the advice discussed is important for everyone to hear if you’re going through a divorce. But if you’re not acknowledging the disparities in income inequality and challenges facing minority divorced and single mothers, you’re cutting out a lot of people from the discussion. No thanks.
