Fleeing an abusive relationship

Description
Just a warning - this episode deals with the topic of domestic violence - if you need help please call 1800RESPECT now and if you are ever in any danger please call the Police on 000. When it comes to leaving it’s not always as easy as ‘who gets what’ - if you are in an abusive relationship, often the time leading up to and just after leaving can be one of the most dangerous. Because often, telling the abuser that the relationship is over can result in violence.  So if you need to flee, where can you go? We are joined by the CEO of Women’s Community Shelters Annabel Daniels and Louise Elkington from Relationships Australia to discuss mediation.
