Description
This episode dives into the year 1978, the year that funk & disco peaked in urban and dance culture. Still in my teens, it was all about house parties, school dances, and all-ages clubs. This particular year covers one of my most memorable years of high school life. It was about the latest dances like the Freak, the Hustle, the Rock, and many others. Pierre Elliot Trudeau and Jimmy Carter ruled our borders, Star Wars and Saturday Night Fever were released late in the prior year but still dominated pop culture. Afros and three-piece suits governed my look, and it was also the year I started dee-jaying.So, let’s go back in time for an hour or so and reflect on the way it used to be long before we were beholden to our current responsibilities.BMS My 1978 features Chic, Funkadelic, Switch, Sylvester, Rose Royce, and many more.Let’s remember when music was Music!DJ Rhythm DeePLAYLIST1.
