We’re back from the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) 2024 Annual Meeting in beautiful Denver, Colorado! Kira estimated that Mendel was studying genetics through peas in the 1800s, and she was right. For eight years, starting in 1857, Medel studied the peas he grew in the garden of his monastery.
