Bloom's research focuses on management practices, working with McKinsey & Company and Accenture to gather extensive data and conduct management experiments, and he has extensively studied the impacts of large uncertainty shocks on the U.S. economy. He lives on the Stanford campus with his wife and three children, maintaining a multi-lingual household influenced by his London roots and his Scottish wife.
