Very helpful podcast
I feel like Sabrina really speaks to me! I’m a black woman in my mid-30s and I’ve been dealing with generalized anxiety disorder since I was in my late 20s. At that period, I was burnt out working in a position, I had weak boundaries, and started to suffer from anxiety attacks. Before this period, I have to admit - I had it pretty easy. I was a sheltered child from a middle class two-parent household, went to college, graduated, got married, etc. It wasn’t perfect by any means, but my upbringing was pretty good for the most part. After doing some inner child work and going to therapy, I’ve realized that I’ve always been somewhat anxious and my parents sheltering me kept me super safe, but at the same time, I missed opportunities to challenge and better myself and build resilience. I’m still learning about my inner children, btw. But this awareness that I now have, sitting in my discomfort, and changing my mindset is really helping and that’s what Sabrina preaches. When I was single and dating, I definitely was an avoidant type to keep myself from being hurt. And after finding out that Sabrina is a Taurus just like me made me like her even more! Congratulations on your 100th episode, Sabrina! Keep being yourself and keep doing what you do!

Much more work to do, but nice to know I’m not alone on this journey. Episode 10 is sooo powerful I had to listen twice. Thank you, Sabrina. You helped me dig into the depths of my bravery and keep fighting. Next up, talking to your friend Masha.
