Interesting listen but more deconstruction needed.
The hosts are qualified and engaging, but I've found that (for my tastes) they don't really discuss individual episodes specifically enough. More time is spent on speculation and characters and less spent on plot points and deconstruction of individual episodes. I just listened to all of the episodes back to back (up to "The Power of Three") and it seemed with each one they touched less and less upon what happened in the story and more on what they think would be happening in the upcoming ones. "The Power of Three" has been my favorite episode so far this season, but for most of the podcast we are treated to how they think the Ponds would be leaving the show and how that made them feel. What about all of the wonderful things that happened in the episode? Please focus more on what has happened in that week's episode vs. what you think is going to happen. Perhaps use the episode itself as a roadmap, retracing the plot from beginning to end, discussing how plot points made you feel as you go along. You don't necessarily have to do a full "recap," but since it is an "after show" I was expecting more on plot and less on a "general" Doctor Who discussion. All of that being said, I'm still a fan -- thoroughly enjoy the show, and will be listening each episode!

More reviews of The Doctor Who After Show Podcast
This podcast is darn good. It makes watching the best show on tv even better. Now I can listen to insights about the show that I may have missed. Great work all involved.

I discovered AfterBuzz the other day when I was having Sherlock feels and really wanted to hear what other people thought about certain episodes. Then I realized that there was a Doctor Who one as well. I love these podcasts because it's cool to see what other people interpret. Brilliant group!
