On July 20th, 2021 their lives were changed forever when a close friend of theirs took his own life. Kobee Nyro Texter was just 24 years young. Despite having to juggle the emotions of losing a friend and trying to make sense of it all, Brandon, Hamp and Andrew Atiyeh set out to create a way to honor their brother. Just a few months after Kobe's death, the KNT Basketball Tournament was taking place at one of Allentown's most popular basketball courts, Cedar Beach Park. The tournament was created in his honor, and to raise awareness for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. Three years later, the tournament is running strong and still growing.
