“So I apologize at the start I’m being a critic. The quality of the show is very good. The way you all worked in background music and transitioned to different topic and interviewed people was good to excellent. So where the show fell flat for me, is that I didn’t laugh even once. You guys were telling a story about how difficult clean comedy is. You told that story well. But as a listener I was going “surely I’m gonna laugh at least once,” and I would’ve liked it if you got permission from one of the comedians to do at least a 15 second outtake of something that really got the audience laughing. As someone who is involved in community theater and learning improv, I would eventually want to share this episode with our students but not at the beginning! It would be discouraging. So you told a good story about the message that clean comedy is hard and that the impact of blue comedy has made comedy harder for everybody. Five stars for that. But it did need to be contrasted with a little bit of actual humor that would’ve made the entire show excellent. And to be fair and piggyback off of Shonda Pierce in the story, what makes comedy hard is everybody’s different. So some listeners may disagree with me because they may have found something in that episode funny. But I know or know of some of the people you interviewed and they have stuff that is universally funny to like 90% of people and just to have had one line of that would’ve been nice. Forgive me for beating a dead horse. Finally, I am a big fan of World, and show it with my financial support and time consuming your products. Because I listen to your other podcasts and read the other content produced by World News Group, I know where this podcast is going and highly anticipate that some of the future episodes are going to be excellent through and through. When I hear one of those I will write a new review. I guess a double take on this is that you all chose to start with a surprisingly difficult subject and from my point of you are experiencing for me what a lot of comics in your podcast experienced. 3 stars for first episode. //////Five STARS for the second episode: it was very well written and produced. And I would say it was actually a double double take. The first double tank is really people from western nations are fleeing our country. And then the second I will take is some of their well found concerns are already happening here. Keep up the excellent work.”
