BE CAUTIOUS
So, I have never heard of Dr. Laura until last week when I stubbled upon a podcast about a mother fed up with her son. I decided to call in to see what her thoughts were on my situation. Listen, don’t call this show if you are looking for a therapy session. She’s a very impatient, cut throat and rude person. Now, there was a couple of nuggets I took away (which I already knew, she just confirmed) but resulting to name calling was a bit much. She shushed me for agreeing with her statements, which I did, and said that I was people pleasing. Then proceeded to call me a coward because I had thoughts on reconciling with my father. Thank GOD i have worked hard in therapy over the last year and know that I’m not. That I’m in the best place mentally concerning the situation. My curious self was “entertained” by her and thought “what the heck, I’ll call!” There’s just simply no grace here. I kept thinking “what if I was depressed and suicidal and this women called me a coward”. Proceeded to tell me that I could not forgive my dad. Please be careful and seek therapy. Stop listening to her religiously.

More reviews of Dr. Laura Call of the Day
She seems judgmental in a very narrow way. I admit I only listed to five episodes and I had to stop listening. She blames the people who call her telling them everything is their fault and they don't really want to change.Read full review »

Dr. Laura is blunt but once you see past that she's pretty brilliant. She ignored her mom who died because her mom sucked. Family isn't entitled just because they're blood.Read full review »

Thank you so much!!!! You are a treasure, and a valued part of society. Haters hate, it's just what they do. It's all about what's in the heart. And, if foul things are in the heart, foul things flow from their actions. Keep doing and being, you are loved.Read full review »
