Have to sort through ideas
I used to be a regular listener. I did not believe every idea DL presented, but I did like that she seemed to be supportive of women as to not be shamed out of motherhood as many women were in the 70’s, 80’s, and even today by not just men but by woman too. It is unreal how a stay at home (house manager) mother is still scrutinized on “what do you do all day?” DL seems a proponent of not emasculating men which society had leaned towards for awhile, but I think DL has not clearly explained why such would happen as women have been Minimized or equivalently emasculated into having less power. Maybe the journey/struggle to restore a balance of power is what temporarily asked men to take a step back. Anyways, she is appealing to many power hungry abusive men who claim they are “emasculated”. Trust, respect, balance, and growth are more appealing to me, but I will have to search for that podcast. Seriously, ask yourself how you feel after listening to several calls. Found myself in a bad mood most times.

“Dr.” Laura’s advice is patronizing, snarky, sarcastic, nasty, belligerent, and egocentric. It is devoid of compassion and empathy. If you’re seeking help or advice, you’d be better served watching a couple of episodes of Web Therapy. The only redeeming feature is the jazz played as bumper music...Read full review »

Dr. Laura still offers mostly common sense advice, which is largely about removing toxic people from your life. What is sad is that since she "lost her religion" she has become crass and profane in her delivery. There's a bitterness that she didn't have when she was anchored in...Read full review »
