Gunsmoke | (012) The Boughten Bride | July 12, 1952
The stage has been robbed of $50,000, and also Mr. Carter's fiance! When the girl is returned to Dodge, she's not very eager to be with her husband-to-be. It had been a long time since they’d had any real trouble and Matt Dillon, United States Marshall liked it peaceful for a change and hoped it would stay that way. But of course it doesn’t. The stage that was due in was carrying fifty thousand dollars in gold when it was held up and Mr. Carter’s fiancé was kidnapped. However the stage rider said it didn’t much look like she was kidnapped, more like she went along willingly.
