“Having just returned 72-hrs ago from 15 dreamy, glorious, fulfilled days in Italy, I have been further inspired as well as been given some clarity by Kathy’s interview with Frances Mayes. My husband & I have spoken a few times of buying a house or apartment in Italy although nothing concrete has been decided. Listening to Frances speak of the importance of having a purpose, something certainly more than a vegetable garden, is key to what could make our dream a reality. Having a purpose I feel has been the missing link which may propel us to the next step if we are to make Italy our part-time home. The two of us had talked about encouraging family and friends to visit us, filling our Italian home with loved ones from the U.S., but is that a purpose? I think not. It would be wonderful to see people we live & cherish, but is not a purpose. I was inspired and excited to understand what we need to do and how we can make a transition, even for 6-months a year, in order to make our Italian dream come to fruition. Frances & Kathy opened a door for us and for that - as well as their deep love & knowledge they are oh so willing to share - I know we can live our dream, the dream being of Italy.
