With Love from Argentina 🇦🇷
Hi April and Cassidy! My name is Delfina, I’m from Argentina and I have adored your podcast from the very beginning. Having recently switched from Spotify to Apple Podcast, now I get the chance to tell you guys how awesome you are! Let me tell you this: the podcast is AMAZING, always interesting ,original and thought provoking. It really displays the embarrassment of riches that is the field of fashion history and every episode expands my mind a bit more (on that note, I haven’t been able to look at anything paisley the same since your Kashemir episode). I have truly loved each and every episode, but the one dearest to me might the one about Elsa Shiapparelli. Her designs are a perfect blend of form and whimsy, so outrageously creative that looking at them makes my mind spin with ideas. As such, my school notes are liberally sprinkled with drawings of armour jackets and gloves, or pages full of highlighter-pink dresses or other wild ideas. Thank you for the company during quiet moments or trips to and from school, and for making my love for history and fashion bigger and bigger every time, Love, Delfina P.S: April, the episodes you did with “Stuff You Missed in History Class” remain among my all-time favourites podcast episodes. Also, have you guys heard of the “The Time-Travelling Fashionista” series by Bianca Turetsky? Basically they are stories about how a teenager discovers this shop filled with dresses from every point in history that let her travel to the time where they were worn if she tries them on. It is a YA series, but I love them and I feel like you guys would too.

I’m so happy to that this podcast exists. Fashion history is deeply intertwined with and reflective of social history, shifts and revolutions, and I’m so happy to see that it’s being talked about. Heard the first episode and it exceeded my expectation! Looking forward to more :)

Love the perspectives they give on the importance of fashion and what it says about the political and social climate of the time. Very well researched and well put together. I’ve been a loyal listener since episode one and will continue to listen!

I am really loving this podcast so far - the hosts have great chemistry and every time I tune in I learn something new about fashion + history. Excited to hear more from these two!
