There are few AAA horror podcasts, & this is one.
There are a handful of “go to” horror podcasts that I think have stood out, for me. Those who do it as the (mostly) singular performer, are rarer still, & this is one of the latter. “Nocturnal Transmissions” hits a theatrical sweet spot, as does “Horror Hill.” I am burning through episode after episode, of “Drew Blood,” because this show has found a niche in my cold, black heart, with its fantastic sense of humor, great vocal performances (the titular character is on point, but the others are are great!), & solid selections of stories. The first episode is quite literally the oldest, most tired tale one has heard around the campfire, or flashlights at a sleepover. Yet, it was told so well, felt so fresh, damned if I didn’t pull my feet back under the covers that evening! That’s what I came for though, and I wasn’t disappointed! Just push play, and may you have unpleasant dreams and nightmares. 😈

It’s a fantastic way to spend Friday evening, and it’s something that I really look forward...Read full review »
