Making sense of it all...
I grew up in Maryland in the late 60’s and early to mid 70’s and thought how we traveled: leaving in the early morning hours, using the restroom before getting on the road, and packing food and beverages was the “way” of travel, not being aware that this is how black folks had to travel....thank you for filling in the blanks and helping me understand the why’s of how we traveled, behind our road trips.

What an amazing, artfully composed podcast. This should be required listening for all students of American history. I wish I was a teacher because this is a perfect audio for a class. Would live to see this adopted into public and private school curricula!
