I love Evan, but not on this podcast
I liked some of the earlier interviews (Jerri etc) but jeeeez why so much complaining from Evan during the recaps? Arguably best episode in yearz just happened, with objectively one of the best and most complex moves the show has seen (especially in the new era). It was an exciting night to be a survivor fan regardless of what side you were on. Yet somehow the recap begins with Evan complaining and saying he “liked the challenges”. Listen to the first 3 mins of Rob has a podcast (a show I never listen to, cause I’d rather support a queer perspective) - the episode entitled “survivor know-it-alls episode 12 recap” from Dec 7. That episode is what someone who actually enjoys this show sounds like. Shawn, who is great and actually has thoughtful views on Survivor, should be hosting with someone other than Evan. Also, these hosts are surprisingly terrible interviewers. I am a Parvati STAN, yet somehow you have her give thoughtful 2 minute responses to questions, and then pause for 3 seconds and move on to something totally unrelated. You can hear her discomfort as a listener, compared to other interviews she’s given. Again, a comparison - listen to Parvati’s episode on Las Culturistas. That is how you do it. Oof.
