Wartime deeds
When journalists talk about Japan’s wartime deeds why do they always stop at Nanjing? What about the gruesome experiments in unit731, or the Zhejiang-Jiangxi campaign following the Doolittle raids? Etc? It was far more extensive. Never lived in PRC but lived in Japan many years ago. Didn’t see any of the feeling of guilt you talk about. Instead it was that Japan has lost the war but is going to economically take over the world and surpass the US. And remember how quickly Japan dropped Taiwan and switched to PRC following Nixon? Tanaka visited Beijing in 1972 to normalize relationship. It was never guilt - the move was pure economics.Deng didn’t visit Tokyo until 1978. Many countries spew out propaganda including Japan and US, not limited to PRC.
