4-11 Dubs OT with John Dickinson: The Warriors win ugly in Portland but keep their 8-seed hopes alive thanks to Curry, Podziemski, & Looney coming up big in the 4th
Description
John Dickinson recaps an ugly yet extremely meaningful 100-92 Warriors win over the Portland Trail Blazers, and they are now officially tied with the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings for the 8th seed in the Western Conference. The Dubs were already without Draymond Green and Klay Thompson (rest), and they trailed by as many as 7 in a game that they had to have. A late 4th quarter surge from Stephen Curry (22 points, 8-22 FG, 5-16 3pt) and Kevon Looney (9 points, 11 rebounds, game-high +19), and key defensive possessions from Brandin Podziemski were enough to lift the Warriors over the top and keep their hopes for the 8th seed alive. While Thompson and Green are expected to return tomorrow, the Warriors have a much tougher task in facing the New Orleans Pelicans, who are tied for a NBA-best road record of 27-14. "Dubs OT" will be live and on the air after the final horn.
