“I’ve noticed a trend with who prefers which method of smoking. Long time weed smokers say like this over 50 and cigarette smokers tend to prefer joints whereas younger weed smokers especially those that do not smoke cigarettes prefer bongs. I think the reason is older smokers and those that smoke butts are used to hot smoke but at the same time have overall weaker lungs. So the heat that a joint provides is no bother but the volume that a bong provides is a problem. The younger (non-cigarette) smoking toker has the strength and lung capacity to be able to better handle a cool filtered bong rip but doesn’t have the tolerance for the hot smoke that a joint gives.
