“I started listen to Dungeon Master’s Block from the start. I’m three episodes in and pleasantly surprised at how much I’m enjoying DMB so far. Mitch and Chris are cool, charming guys and genuinely fun to listen to. One of the strengths of the show (so far) is when they talk about their own campaigns and worlds. There’s something so fun about listening to fellow DMs talk about something they clearly have a lot of affection for.
Again, I’m just starting out so I don’t know what the later episodes hold in store, but I’m really excited to see how they develop the podcast as they build up a fan base. I’d love to see them start to incorporate stuff from fans, interviews, maybe even guests. I know it’s not something they can just pull out of thin air, but some diversity in the discussions wouldn’t hurt too. From their discussions thus far it sounds like their groups are pretty much made exclusively of guys, which is totally cool, but a lot of people play D&D. I’m a big fan of bringing real world issues into the game, and my tabletop RPG circles include lots of women, people of colour, LGBT people, etc., so that’s one way including fan input and content could really help to include a lot more people than what we typically assume D&D to cover. I’d also really love to see them explore some D&D history and lore, especially in relation to how they bring it into their campaigns (or not). A D&D trivia portion would be great too, with factoids about the game as a whole.
Overall, really enjoying the podcast so far. I definitely plan on slowly catching up and to continue listening, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the show involves. Great work guys!”
