Shallow and cartoonish
The script of this podcast is so rushed that it reads more like a storyboard. It jumps from scene to scene without giving the characters or details time to develop. The result is cartoonish acting, and I found it impossible to care about any of it, except perhaps to feel sad for the actors who have so little to work with. The production and sound work are solid, although I got sound whiplash from being rapidly pushed through scenes with varying levels and styles of endless background music. I presume it’s added to create a mood when there is insufficient dialogue to do it. It’s heavy handed and headache inducing.

So far I have only listened to the first episode but I am hooked! I love the idea behind this sci-fi podcast. The sound quality and production are so good that they allow me to completely imagine the story in my head as I’m listening. I look forward to the rest of the season!

The story is ok. The voice acting is super cringey. I listened because I ran out of other stuff. Moving on.
